A cookie is a small file a website leaves in your browser so it can remember something. This site uses very few, and you can refuse all but the essential ones.
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| lm-langEssential · set by this site | Remembers whether you chose English or Portuguese, so the site opens in your language next time. | Until you clear your browser |
| lm-ckEssential · set by this site | Remembers your answer to the cookie notice, so you are not asked again on every visit. | Until you clear your browser |
| _ga, _gidMeasurement · Google Analytics | Counts visits and shows which pages are useful and which are ignored, so the site can be improved. It does not tell me who you are. | Up to 2 years |
| _gcl_auAdvertising · Google Ads | Shows whether someone who clicked an advert went on to contact me. This is how I know whether advertising is worth continuing. | Up to 90 days |
The first two are strictly necessary and are always set. The measurement and advertising cookies are only set if you press Accept on the notice. If you choose “Essential only”, they are never written.
To withdraw your acceptance, clear this site’s data in your browser settings and the notice will appear again on your next visit. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser — the site works perfectly well without them, only the language choice stops being remembered.
How you handle personal data more broadly is covered in the Privacy Policy.
